What we Offer

Nursery & Pre-School
Nursery care is for children aged 2 – 5 years throughout the year.  We can arrange to take children to, or collect from, local school nurseries so that you can ‘dovetail’ your childcare arrangements, if necessary.

Whilst providing a fully flexible service where you can pay for childcare by the hour, we ask that children attend for a minimum period of two and a half hours in order that they can fully benefit and settle into the environment.

Holiday Club
In addition to continuing to provide care for younger children throughout the year, Poppets also runs a popular holiday club for school-age children (up to the age of 11 years) called ‘Lennies’.

You can choose from half-day or full-day sessions to suit, and children can attend as many days as you wish.  Parents find this service especially useful if they work, but also for keeping children entertained during the long summer holidays.

Before School Care
As we are open from 8am, children who attend local primary schools can be dropped off with us and escorted to school at the appropriate time by our staff.  Children are supervised by staff and have a choice of activities.

After School Care
Our Staff also collect children from the local primary schools at the end of the school day and we provide care right up until 6pm.

Children are engaged in age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoor.

Government Funding for Childcare
Children aged 3 years upwards qualify for Government funding from Shropshire Council towards nursery care, up to a maximum of 15 hours per week (over 38 weeks per year) or 11.4 hours per week (over 50 weeks per year). Funding may also be available from the age of 2 years.

  • We are also registered to accept employer Childcare Vouchers.
